Happy Summer! I appreciate your stopping by our blog and letting others know what your families are up to for the summer. I have been enjoying the last couple of weeks: running and traveling a whole lot and reading several good books. We have had a great summer vacation, trips, camps, swimming, playdates, etc..... We are looking forward to meeting you and Chad is excited about being a Third Grader and having you as his teacher. We will try to stop into the classroom between now and September 8th, and will be signing up for some of the exciting activities that you have planned for fall! Until then, see you later! ReplyDeleteBobby Hodgins did a lot of fun things this summer. He caught fish, hiked, swam, and learned to surf. He and Chad and their dad's are going to climb Mt. Scott on Saturday. We will be sure to take pictures and post them on the blog. can't wait to see everyone and meet my new teacher.
ReplyDeleteHabib has been having a very mellow, laid back summer. He has been spending lots of time with is sister Revel, playing tennis with his dad, and swimming with his grandpa. I got to take a week off from work in July and we spent a few days exploring on the coast between Port Orford, Bandon and Brookings. Habib's biggest event of the summer happened just last week when we decided to rescue a dog from the shelter. Her name is Sheila, and she is a 7 year old, Bassett-Retreiver mix. She is a gem, and is getting along perfectly with her new pack. We have all been taking lots of long walks together. Habib is really looking forward to going back to school!
ReplyDeleteOh! I forgot to mention that Habib and Revel have seen all but 3 of the plays at OSF so far. They got to watch their grandad in 3 of them. Habib's favorite has been "Macbeth", and we highly recommend "Don Quixote", "Servant of Two Masters", "Much Ado", and "the Music Man" for kids; "Equivocation" and "Paradise Lost" for adults!
ReplyDeleteKadyn has had a very busy and exciting summer. First there were two weddings in the family, the birth of another cousin, a handfull of birthdays (including her 8th birthday)and finally a long awaited trip to Virginia Beach to visit her dad. She has been there for 4 weeks :( I expect her home this Wednesday!!
ReplyDeleteBobby Hodgins and Chad Adams hiked up Mt. Scott (Crater Lake's tallest peak) this past Saturday. They got up a 6:00 am for the hike and made it to the fire lookout on top before their dads. Hope there are a lot of class hikes....see everyone soon.
ReplyDeleteWow! It's been great reading about everyone's fun adventures. I also went to Mt. Scott and had an awesome time with my 20 year old son Toby. It was a beautiful day.

On Halloween, I went trick or treating and I carved a pumpkin. I had a lot of candy. I dressed up as an American Indian. I got a lot of sleep. I was passing out candy most of the time. I got to dress up and I went trick or treating. I made my own costume, and I got a lot of candy. I went trick or treating for UNICEF. I was skull animal. I like to get a lot of candy. I went to Coronado. I dressed up as Michael Jackson. I dressed up as a bumblebee, but I didn't wear the wings. --Grade 3 Class members, San Diego--

hi,my name is Rebecca i'm in ms. Mezgers class i am in 3rd grade.It is so cool being in 3rd grade because you get to go away from your sister.On hollowen I got lots of candy.My sister had strep throut.I was darth vador for hollowen.This hollowen was so cool I saw a rock and roll band.How cool is that?My sick sister was going to be a vampire.My big sister was a dead cheer leater.My dad had to go with us he was so happy he got to go with us to bad my sister could not go with us she would of been so happy.On December 11,2009 I will go to Las Vegas or you can call it Nevada.I have lots of friends in Arizona one of my friends are Arianna.It must be so fun being in a diffrent state.Do you have any zoos in Orgen?I have so many questions about Orgen!I have two sisters named Ashley and Callista and I have 1 mom and 1 dad there names are Lisa and my dads name is Chris.I can't say there real names if I say there real names i will get in trouble.I love u.s.a so much I would not like to leave or move out of Amirica if I do I will scream.
ReplyDeleteHi I'm in six grade in San Diego and our weather is really sunny and some of the six graders went to camp. In camp we got to go hiking and told scary stories at night.The two main things i learned there were never to listen to scary stories and i memorized the whole Sam's paw. Sam's paw means sun,air,minerals,soil,plants,animals and water. When we went to six grade camp we got to make fun crafts and we got to choose what to write on them.
ReplyDeleteMy school is so neat!! We do Chorus,Band and Orchestra. I am in Chorus. My school also has magnificent teachers. My teacher's name is Ms. Oran. She is one of the best!! My school also has a yearly Spelling Bee. It is so much fun!! I was in it last year. There is so much more cool things about my school! Searcy , MPE
