Welcome to our blog! Last weekend was a busy one here in Ashland with Halloween falling on a Saturday. We had a parade and party at school. In the town of Ashland there is a tradition of celebration, with a run, called the Monster Dash, a children's parade and then in the evening, children "Trick or Treat" and adults go on the town... Lot's of fun... My class is going to share with you and perhaps your children could respond with posts about their weekend... maybe about sports they play and what they do for fun...

The parade in Ashland was great! There were so many amazing costumes to see, it was impossible to remember them all. Later passing out candy was another great way to see more great costumes!

On Saturday October 31 2009 Me and my friend Chad went trick or treating together. At about 9:00 pm the teenagers came out and for about 20 minutes me and Chad were all alone with all these freakish teens.

On Halloween I was a girl with two machine guns and a sword. When I went trick or treating I got a lot of candy. It was fun! I trick or treated with my friend, he was a soldier. We went to a haunted house, it was cool. There was fake bloody hands and arms on the floor. There were strobe lights in the haunted house, so you could only get little glimpses of the people bleeding on the floor. Then we went home and watched a movie. That was the end of my Halloween night.

My mom and Donny and i we were doing really funny pictures on Halloween.We all put on an afro and did really funny pics. I got a diffrent wig and it is black and I got sunglasses to go with it. I was like Micheal Jackson twinn. On that very day we also got lot's of candy.

I got to go to Mexico for Halloween! When we got there I was very happy to get off the plane. My mom and I got to go snorkeling, but my goggles had a leak. So I just swam in the water. We saw crabs in the racks. In the sand there was a lot of ants. I got to hold a monkey that belonged to some people we met. We got into our boat and we went on the cruise part of our trip. I didn't dress up for Halloween like most of the people in my class, but I had a great time with my mom!

This Halloween I went Trick or Treating with my cousin Giovani in Ashland. Trick or Treating is where you go to a house and say"Trick or Treat" and they give you candy.For Halloween candy my favorite is Heshey's chocolate bar but I got Snickers instead.The bar was big but it was gone in one minute. It tasted good but I got a stomach ache. I still.I had the best Halloween ever.

This weekend I went trick or treating. The first house was my friend's house. I stayed there for a half an hour. I had cake and apple juice there. Then I watched a movie and went trick or treating again. I went down the street and went home ang got some candy. Then my mom went to a Halloween party, so I watched a tv until till 12:30 am. I went to sleep.

ReplyDeleteWhen Kara and I were playing and our dad told us to come down stairs, he gave us some exciting news! The news was that we were going to be aunts! Our sister in-law is having a baby. I forget when it's coming. I think I will like being an aunt. I have never been an aunt before!

We also did it with other people i don't remember their names but they have a son named Caden. When I went trick or treating it was raining. I got lots of candy! It was really yummy! For Halloween i was a witch! I also went to the Halloween prade! That is a thing
that you walk in and every one dressed up in costumes. You also knock on the door and say trick or treat! Then you get candy!

ReplyDeleteWe were going to go trick or treating with 25 people but it was rainy. My fake eye lashes with glue were on my eyes. I got 17 pounds of candy. I had fun trick or treating with my friends. I heard that cats get eaten by people on Halloween night. Last year someones cat got eaten on Halloween night. I don't know if this is true though!
On Halloween I was Mario. My friend was Luigi. Halloween is a Holiday were you go up to some one's door in a costume and say trick or treat

ReplyDeleteOn Halloween, I went to the YMCA and it was cool. The YMCA is like a family night place. I got 200 pounds of candy, I think. We were going to go trick or treating at more than 30 places, but we didn't because my sister is 3 and she was tired. My sister's name is Macalyn. We left and we ate 3 pieces of candy and Macalyn ate too much candy then she puked.

ReplyDeleteThis Halloween Lilian oops I mean monster girl, Lady bug, and Amelia, who are best friends had a wonderful time trick or treating; that is when you knock on somebody's door and you get candy. We also ate candy and chili. They also played on a bunk bed. We, Lilian, Zelda, and I traded candy too! We also went to the Halloween parade, we walked around in our costumes. We went in one of the most famous place in Oregon to trick or treat! This place is on High Street!

ReplyDeleteOn Saturday I woke up and I got into my Halloween costume. I was a head on a platter. My mom was my waitress. We got in the car to do the monster dash. The monster dash is a run we do on Halloween with the whole town. It was hard to put my seatbelt on with my costume on. My mom did not think I could put it on but I did. We got our numbers and then we went to the costume contest, but I did not enter to win. I got lost of compliments on my Halloween costume. Then we got ready for the five mile race. We were only doing the one mile race though. Then the one mile race started, it was hard to run as a head on a platter. After the race we went to the parade. We met my friends at the library. One of my friends was a ballerina and the other was a candy corn witch. We went to people's houses to collect candy. First I had to have a trick or treating bag to get the candy in. So I had to use my mom's apron, because I didn't have a bag. After the parade I went with my friends. We got to see my dance teacher do Thriller at the parade. Then I went to my friends mother's office to get some dummies. Then we went to get some dinner. We had some spaghetti! We watched A Series of Unfortunate Events on T.V. Finally we got to go do some more trick or treating! I showed my grandmother my costume and we were off to have fun! Trick or treating is when you are all dressed up in a Halloween costume and you go to people's houses and knock on their door, and they give you candy. We went trick or treating in my friends neighborhood. It started raining so we didn't get to do it for long. We went back to my friends house for a sleepover We had another friend there and we all decided to watch Thriller. Thriller is a movie that you should watch! It was a great Halloween night!

On Halloween night,me and my sister Taylor were getting ready to go to down town. We went into the haunted house. My sister was going to come into the haunted house, we were almost there. She did not feel good so she did not come with me. My mom and dad took my sister Taylor. My aunts Britney and Brandy were there. My cousin Asiha was with us too. When a clown was laying down he jumped up and scared Asiha and some other kid too! They were both crying and my aunt Brandy jumped on me, I don't think that she was really scared, but maybe a little. I was dressed up as a goth girl. My sisterwas a butterfly fairy and my cousin was a flower fairy for Halloween. I t was fun, we got lots of candy. At the end of the night we took my cousin home. My mom let us have six little pieces of candy each. We watched a movie, but I was so tired from all of the fun and sugar that I fell right asleep! It was a really fun Halloween adventure!

ReplyDeleteOn Halloween we dressed up in costumes, and get candy, from people's houses. Some people dress up as vampires, or ladybugs, or clowns, but either way we all get candy. (Just so you know, candy is sweet, and I was a ladybug.)

My Halloween
ReplyDeleteMy halloween was not so good. It rained pretty hard, so we got about 20 minutes of Trick or Treating. We didn't have much candy, and I didn't really like the selection [of candy], so we gave it all away in return for a 15 dollar gift card.

ReplyDeleteThis hallowween was awesome! I got about 3 hours of trick-or-treating. I was a vampire, my neighbor was an Indian, My sister was an Inuit, And my other neighbor was something from a video game I can't name. I got a full sized Hershey's bar, Twix bar, and M&M's. My neighbor (the Indian) had to throw away a bunch of stuff because she's allergic to all nuts, and eggs. I got 382 pieces of candy. My neighborhood has only about 17 houses, but the neighborhood has over 300 houses....whoops lost my train of thought. Well, I HAD A GREAT HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
